KELVIN 2 MIPS Ski Helmet
Ordered on 21st Dec and delivered on 10 Jan. Was informed the product was out of stock after I had made the purchase and sent multiple chasers asking where my helmet was. They should update their website to show only available stock. Product is delivered directly from China. I do not recommend buying if you need a helmet for a trip that is nearby. The helmet itself is great and very comfortable.

I got this ski helmet for my kid, and it’s been a great purchase! Our whole family uses OutdoorMaster snowboarding helmets, and we’ve never had any complaints. My kid loves this one—it’s lightweight, comfortable, and the build quality feels solid.
The bright color is a fantastic safety feature, making it easy to spot on the slopes. Overall, it’s a reliable and well-designed helmet that’s perfect for kids. Highly recommend!
I’ve used several other products from OutdoorMaster, so I thought I’d give this ski helmet a try. I measured my head-circumfrence at 58mm and got this helmet in the size Large. It fits me great, is very comfortable, and has very little slop to it at all. I tested it at my local ski area, and paired it with a pair of Falcon goggles and some Bluetooth 5.0 drop-in headphones, both of which are also OutdoorMaster brand. It’s not a low-profile helmet – but it is a solid feeling helmet that doesn’t creek and squeak like some other helmets I’ve used. I had no worries skiing the trees with this helmet. Fortunately I didn’t have to test the helmet in a crash yet.
What I like:
- The liner is very plush and comfortable -- actually nicer than my Smith helmet.
- The MIPS system is a great additional safety feature at this price point, it is usually only found on much more expensive helmets. It is designed to allow the helmet to move around on your head a bit in a crash, which helps to reduce the sudden rotational forces on your head.
- The goggle strap attachment on the back is simple, low profile, and works great.
- The audio pockets in the ear pads fit the Outdoor Master speakers well, and I didn’t create any extra pressure on my ear. I’d prefer the pockets to be slightly larger – they didn’t fit another set that’s slightly larger diameter.
What could be improved:
- I really wished that the vents were adjustable. On a cold day at the ski area and my head got cold too easily. I was able to fit a thin fleece skull cap on under the helmet and that did help, but it would have been very nice to be able to just close the vents off.
- It is a bit heavy for a helmet that doesn’t have adjustable vents – it weighs about 5 ounces more than my Smith Mission helmet, which has adjustable vents.
- The matte finish on the shell picks up fingerprints easily.
At the current price point I think it is a great helmet. While it won’t be my first choice, I think it will be a good backup, or one to loan out if a friend needs one.
